Ricky should be utilised as a true midfielder to better service the forwards with qualtity crosses. I think that he is a defensive liability. Teams tend to overlapp a lot when playing us and with Bibi posing a threat down the flanks that might get them to think twice.

Bibi has alwys been the best when he is in his natural position, Wingback. He is capable of making runs into the opponents 18yd box without no problem, and he also has the best on field vision i have seen in any player today. Dem left-foot crosses into the box will be detrimental to any opposing team.

Gardner should be utilized in the left midfield to take advantage of his tremendous versatility. The TD should change the formation to include four midfielders and with Gardner's speed he could still maintain a presence in the defensive left quadrant.
Busta - 11/15/2000 - 11/14/2000
The TD should use Bibi in the left wingback position. The simple reason is that he has mastered that position and being out of the program for so long playing what he is used to is the best for the team.

Bibi is best suited at wingback consideing our system of play. We lack to accurate crossing from the left side and also the width of pulling a defensive back line wide apart. The skill and pace of Bibi will get defences a different challenge. Considering the next round will be at a higher quality, Jamaica needs all the fire power it needs. I can see greatness ahead, But we need to keep our players healthy.5-3-2 the way forward.

Why not try him in the forward position. Maybe he could do well there.
myYout - 11/9/2000
Wingback looks the best option at the moment, because if he has to play in the midfield, then the formation and the strategy has to ultimately change. This would require too much work at present, with final round so close around the corner.

if bibi is to play left misfield we would have to chang our formation to one with 4 midfielders. if we are to maintain our present formation then bibi should play left back. my reasoning is that he is an excellent crosser of the ball. his cross to robbie earle at WC98 should be used in coaching clinics. if we play with 3 midfielders it would be a waste because i think his crossing ability would be marginalised. conclusion if 5 3 2 wingback. anything else left midfield.

I think Bibi is a better asset coming from deep. He certainly has the talent to play left mid field. However I think he thrives on the freedom of playing left back with the room to come forward.
naciamaj - 11/7/2000
Personally, I think He has a contribution to make, regardless of where he plays. I mean, the man must be better than Steve Malcolm at wing back. Steve's days may be numbered.

I prpose that De'olivera uses Ricardo Gardener in the midfield role as he is being used on Bolton's team. Our midfield is a bit slow in dictating the pace of the game early and tempermental in attacking. If one should review the match reports for Bolton in which Ricardo has played, you will see that he is a core playmaker in creating chances for goals. I believe his talent is being held back inthe left back posession. The left Midfield role for which he has been cultured would be added strength in a diverse attack. Please Consider. More crosses ..... More chances .... MORE GOALS!!!! Scotty0196@cs.com

Ricardo Gardner is very talented and smart so I think he would contribute a lot taking the ball from the back. To make im even industrious he can overlap a few times because he is a good scorer. In that way we will get two job from him

Play Bibi at the left midfield position. He along with Powell and Lawrence. Bibi has great field vision, ball controll, passing skill and importantly he'll add some fire power on goal from the midfield position to complement the forwards. Bibi bas a tendancy to be defensive liability. I feel this group midfielders can give a good account of themselves. Welcome back Bibi. We'll certainly, need you in the next round.
Tilla - 11/6/2000
Left side of midfield is the best option. Bibi is a naturally atackng player and a defensive liability. He could certainly strenghten the mid-field with Tappa, Powell, Jermaine Johnson, Jamie Lawrence and Andy.
atg_guru - 11/6/2000
I would say play Him in the midfield with Whitmore, and Powell. Andy Williams should warm the bench now. He has been too inconsistent to warrant a start. The two Jermaines should look to replace Andy.
Sherie Lattimore - 11/6/2000
bibi is a better player at the left wing back position. his combination with pepe helped tremendously in the qualifiers last time and he is also an excellent defender.
