FA-CONCACAF Advanced Administration Workshop to take place at Centre of Excellence in Trinidad & Tobago from 10-13 June

A total of 36 senior football administrators from 17 CONCACAF countries have registered for the F.A./CONCACAF Workshop from 10 – 13 June entitled “Contracts, Transfers and Structures” at the Dr. João Havelange Centre of Excellence in Trinidad & Tobago.
The workshop will be conducted by three top administrators from the English Football Association (F.A.), Graham Noakes, Director of Football Administration, Mark Ives, Head of Business Development and Maurice Watkins, Director of the Manchester United Football Club, who is regarded as a leading expert on the legal aspects of modern football. They will be accompanied by Ms. Kim Fisher of the F.A.’s International Relations Department.
The participating countries are: Aruba, Barbados, Bahamas, Bermuda, Dominica, Grenada , Guyana, Netherlands Antilles, Mexico, Montserrat, Suriname, Belize, St. Lucia, St. Vincent & Grenadines, St. Kitts, US Virgin Islands, Trinidad & Tobago.
The venue for the workshop, Centre of Excellence, is a major hub for training and development in the region.
Two key programmes have already been held at the Centre of Excellence for the year, the prestigious F.A. International Coaching License Course and the CONCACAF Seminar on “Tactics and Systems of Play.” Over one hundred (100) coaches have attended courses in 2003 so far and more than seven hundred (700) persons from CONCACAF have participated in workshops at the Centre since 2001.
The Administration Workshop will focus on a numbers of important issues confronting regional football administrators.
These include:
1) Improving Relationships with key Stakeholders
2) Effective Management Structures
3) Regulations on the Transfer of Players
4) Contract Negotiations
5) Measuring Success
The format will be highly interactive and participants will be required to design their own action plans and present them at the end of the workshop.
