...to improve his soccer.

At the end of 90's. Haiti Federation requested support from france to help his football. Then The french federation send a top technician in haiti, bernard Souilliez, he used to work with Aimet jacques the coach that won the cup 98 with France.

Souilliez help us to build a structure base on creating a camp where very young talent can play soccer. At that time we were lucky since the ministry of sports was a big fan of soccer. He invested in that project.

Every summer they recruit players in all states...each state makes a tournament to recruit the best then each state makes a team..then all state play in a final tournament in the capital where they pick 30-40 best players of the tournament. Then those guys go to camp until 18 to 19 years old where they are coaches with FiFa certificates will teach them soccer. This camp is largely supported by the government. after...when they can afford it they travel with them to get exposure (usually argentina, france, and french carribean islands)

In the camp all they do all days are playing soccer and study..they teach them in the camp. Those young are coming mostly from a very poor family so the family see it as a way to improve the status of the kids in the society and let them go to the camp. In return they have school free and possibility to have decent income.

Guys the main players of the current senior team are from that program...we have started to export some of them:

for example
Pierre jean Jacques (23yrs,defender, penarol, uruguay)
Wadson Coriolan (20 yrs ,midfielder, defensor sporting, Uruguay)
Marc Herold Gracien ( 21 yrs, forward, penarol, uruguay)
Jean Philippe Peguero( 23 yrs, Forward, mls)
Alexandre boucicault ( 23, MF, mls)
Roody lormera (22, Forward, honduras) the only guy (as foreigner) that will be in Jamaica next week.

In a very soon future here are our players that I m aware of the possibility to play outside:
stephane guillaume (21, a jamaican club wanted to sign him may play in costa rica)
Peter germain 23 (may play in Honduras)
Brunel Fucien 21 (in argentina looking for club)
Turlien 23

Guys, we have a good crop of talended and experienced youth players that on average is U23. If Haiti makes the Gold cup next year we will make some big noise. Now we are like Ja, T&T, USA with many players outside....WE ARE COMING SLOWLY BUT SURELY
