Deon Burton could be on his way out of Pride Park and heading 17 miles down the road to Second Division Notts County.

The Jamaican forward, who is the Rams' most capped player of all-time, has struggled in front of goal recently and the proposed signing of Fabrizio Ravenelli would relegate him even further down the pecking order.
Burton was put on the transfer list last year as Jim Smith attempted to shake the club out of their early-season slumber.
The 24-year-old is in the final 12 months of his contract and Smith would like to offload the player while he can still make some money back on him.
Burton is being tracked by The Magpies as their boss Jocky Scott tries to build on last season's campaign, although it is not known what sort of a fee the Meadow Lane outfit are prepared to offer.

Moving to a lower division could do Burton some good. It may allow him to find back his goal socring form, playing in the less competitive league.

Another way to look at it, it could further damage his confidence if he moves to the lower, less competitive league and cannot find his form.
