Introduction
Based on a 2008 Cooperation Agreement signed between the Jamaica Football Federation (“JFF”) and the University of West Indies (“UWI”), a Football Academy will be developed at the Mona Bowl on the campus of the University of the West Indies. The details of this Academy are contained in this brief. The final Technical Brief will be completed by the Consultant and Architect contracted.

Site Location
The Mona Bowl, UWI, located on a beautiful site of approximately fourteen (14) acres of land at the southeastern boundary of the campus, with views of the hills to the north, south and east, providing a salubrious atmosphere to both users and spectators. In addition to the JFF Technical Centre the Mona Bowl will accommodate a Competitions Facility (comprising Olympic size mondo track for athletics training and competition around a full sized competition football field constructed to the current highest standard surfacing and drainage ), a Sports Medicine Institute, Multi-purpose Hall , community football fields, a full sized international cricket field and existing swimming pool, changing facilities, tennis courts and indoor competitions hall.

Six (6.6) acres of the lands identified, will be dedicated for utilization by the JFF to develop a state of the art international training facility, while the existing facilities will be upgraded to international standards to accommodate national, regional and international sporting or field events.
