    Expedia did a survey of how far U.S. National Football League Fans would go in support of their favorite team.

    80 percent said if they had tickets to an important football game out of town, they would travel to see the game. The average trek the fans said they would be willing to travel was 554 miles.

    20 percent said they would travel 1,000 miles or more to see the action live.

    18 percent said they could never marry a fan of their team's arch rivals.

    41 percent said they would avoid their own birthday party to watch a game, 39 percent said they would avoid the birthday of a friend or family member, and 31 per cent said they would avoid jury duty.

    25 percent said they had better memory of pro footabll stats and scores than the birthdays and anniversary dates of their friends and family members.

    60 percent said they would skip work to attend a game.

    More than half said it takes at least one full day to recover after thier team loses. 30 percent said it takes 3 to 7 days to recover.

    $483 per person- The average amount spent by fans on going to games, memorabilia, fantasy leagues, sports bars watching games, etc.

    23 percent said their football passion costs more than $500 per year.
