Nope sass, I'm not blaming Simoes. To reiterate my view: the player has a civic duty to honour the national call to duty.

However, from what Mosiah revealed the motivation for turning up is lessened when one considers that they are actually filling gaps at the moment as their chance to play might only be realised six months later at the Digicel Cup. What I hope that The Prof did (assuming he did not make it clear), is to let the players know that although their chance is more realistic for the Digicel Cup, he is always looking for a player who shows in practice that he now has what it takes to be an integral part of the World Cup squad. By making that clear, the player would put more effort into augmenting his skills so that he can impress the coaching staff. In the meantime (and remember 6 months is a helluva time), Jackson, Simpson and Boyd are looking at the stark reality that it's imperative that they supplement their income and secure a food for themselves and their families.

Do you think there might've been insufficient communication from the players in question and the coaching staff? It's a possibility!

Evan Taylor says it all about Simoes.

The fact is most of these players have been committed to the Bronx weeks ago and are making a little money while the program was been planned.

Well then...there we have it. It boils down to a lack of communication! The players (or their pr reps) should've then sent a letter to the JFF, thanking them for the invitation, stating how enthused they were for the continued vote of confidence in their abilities, and then saying they regret that they would have to decline the offer at this moment due to prior arrangement. Thank them once again and then conclude the letter by saying that they would leave future dates open and thereby avail themselves for future invitations! Bam!! Done!!
