Reggae Boyz head coach Winfried Schaefer is expected to receive full wages owed to him by the Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) since he was last paid in November of 2015.
The German will be owed three months’ salary counting December, January and this month, JFF president Captain Horace Burrell told the Jamaica Observer yesterday.
Since the matter of the coach’s salary went public, speculation went wild whether Schaefer would continue on as coach of the senior Boyz. But the veteran tactician has maintained that he’s committed to the country and its World Cup qualifying campaign, even though he was being courted by a number of countries.
