Cunningham was fined $500 last week for inappropriate conduct in the Sept. 2 game against the Colorado Rapids at Rice-Eccles Stadium, general manager Steve Pastorino confirmed.

The incident took place after Rapids player Nicolas Hernandez scored a goal in the 48th minute off of a pass in front of RSL goalkeeper Scott Garlick.

Before the goal, RSL Mehdi Ballouchy was knocked down near the goal and his teammates stopped playing. Afterward, Garlick charged outside of the penalty area to confront Rapids player Hunter Freeman. Garlick then proceeded to knock Freeman to the ground. A scuffle then started involving several players from both teams.

Pastorino said he could not disclose what action by Cunningham led to the fine, per league rules. Cunningham, who is the league-leading scorer with 15 goals, will not play in Saturday's game against FC Dallas due to an accumulation of yellow cards.</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE></SPAN></SPAN>
