Some police can be sloppy, I recall on one occasion when I was threatened I was advised by my superiors to make a report to the police.

When I went to the station, they sent me to this constable who could barely contain his enthusiasm.

When I saw him spell journalist with a 'g" I knew we were in big trouble. Needless to say a week later when my office called to find out the state of the file we were told they could not find the report anywhere.

Cop sanctioned for turning away poorly dressed woman

A cop attached to the St. Catherine South Division, has been placed on interdiction after he reportedly turned away a woman from a police station minutes before she was killed.
The policeman is a Detective Sergeant attached to the Caymanas Station in Gregory Park.
RJR News has learnt that the interdiction order was served on him last week, on the instruction of the Commissioner of Police.
It was reported that about 9:45 on the night of November 20, 31-year-old Melonie Johnson, went to the station to lodge a complaint about a dispute she had with another woman in the community.
It is alleged that due to her mode of dress, the policeman sent her away.
When she returned to the community, she was confronted by the woman and during a fight she was stabbed to death.
The policeman is now on three quarters salary, and will remain off active duty, while an investigation is conducted into the incident.
