THERE IS ONLY ONE ONANDI LOWE!

"Good things come out of the garrisons" after his daughter won the 100m Gold For Jamaica.

"It therefore is useless and pointless, unless it is for share malice and victimisation to arrest and charge a 92-year-old man for such a simple offence. There is nothing morally wrong with this man smoking a spliff; the only thing wrong is that it is still on the law books," said Chevannes.

so in other words he's batting for segregated schools/classrooms...those who grow up with patois in the household will receive instruction in a separate setting from those who grew up in english speaking households...then you all gonna be howling about educational apartheid

ESL is a practice in the 1st and developing world. He defended his position with academic material as to the necessity and benefits of it,the politics of it about apartheid is nothing new ,in the 1st and developing world ,its an issue that is secondary considering our dire econonic circumstances. As stated English is the language of international commerce. Its either we accept the academic benefits to our nation or keep yapping.

It could be worse, they could be teaching patois as a 1st language to english speakers in the Island.

I am a proponent of english being taught as a 2nd language. There is nothing to teach in patois,as I said years back.2nd spanish is taught in schools ,chinese ,russian ,German etc in some colleges.Never heard segregation being stated as a reason to develop much needed international commercial or academic skills.

          You are being ignorant.
