    6. Customer Success Specialist
    7. Sales Development Representative
    8. Data Engineer
    9. Behavioral Health Technician
    10. Cyber Security Specialist

All of the above are needed in the tourism field so goway. Again your mind is just as straight as an arrow.

All major hotels and attractions have Cyber Security specialist directly or on contract.
Behavior specialist is needed to study people behavior in terms of where they travel and how they spend. You often hear Bartlett refer to these data that is generated.

Modern day tourism is data driven, to find out who to sell and what the guest want. That is old news for tourism as you have a lot of companies that do that.

Companys like Sandals is high in Customer Success Specialist
Sales Development Representative. A friend of mine who started as a concierge in Sandals is now a Sales Development Specialist traveling and working with people who sell Sandals vacation.

Open your mind and stop beat down tourism.

Sorry to butt in Assasin...but Customer Service is one of the most difficult and challenging occupation:

Not everyone or every business is capable of doing it successfully.
The only time TRUTH will hurt you...is if you ignore it long enough

Some people think Alexa and the current set of voice automation machines can replace good Customer service. A lot of Jamaican businesses I go to I see it. There are some very good ones but sometimes we don't value customer service.

          LOL!! Mi spleen!!!

Do you understand what analysis of an industry means yuteman?? The difference between macro-analysis and micro?

So because a hotel may "have one" of these specialists - what does that mean to you??????? That the hotel's profile is a that of a high value-adding business???

So some hotel has 1000 workers and 1 or even 20 staff people have the above or similar qualifications...what does that signify????

Can you do math and calculate percentages? Further...can you interpret what those percentages signify?

Let me assist - if there are 1000 hotel jobs of which 20 are highly skilled (I'm being VERY generous ) - that's 2% of the count.

          What does 2% signify?

Is the nature of such an operation defined by the 2% or the 98%???

The case for you being a dummy is now conclusive - This is sad but carry on as you seem to be a hopeless case

BTW --- ONCE AGAIN - I'm not "against tourism". I'm against tourism being Jamaica's "leading industry" -- Why?? Because 60 years of history proves that it leads Jamaica in CIRCLES i.e. NOWHERE

            Lol.
THERE IS ONLY ONE ONANDI LOWE!

"Good things come out of the garrisons" after his daughter won the 100m Gold For Jamaica.

"It therefore is useless and pointless, unless it is for share malice and victimisation to arrest and charge a 92-year-old man for such a simple offence. There is nothing morally wrong with this man smoking a spliff; the only thing wrong is that it is still on the law books," said Chevannes.

You have no idea. The business of tourism is one of the largest in the world.

How many jobs at Amazon are highly skilled??? Do you realize how many none skilled workers or low skilled workers they employ? It is at least the same 20-1 or more.

If you said the hotel have one or two, how many hotels are there in Jamaica? not to mention the chains. The fact on a global tourism scale a lot of these high skilled workers are needed and if we provide the trained worker they can be employed.

Stop thinking narrow and you will see the role we can play in providing high level tourism workers just like the CMU does providing qualified maritime engineers for the tourism and shipping sector. How many of them work for a Jamaica shipping line?

Does tourism been the leading industry affect any other industry? It doesn't stop any industry from growing, it actually enhance them including AI and technology. It is not its fault it is still number 1 and growing.

The problem yuteman is that the typical Jamaican - like you - is in love with tourism...I guess becuz it's what you know and believe in 10000%

Other issues causing this tourism adulation is that many powerful Jamaicans are involved in making money from the industry - and they own politicians, media outlets etc ...and promote that industry relentlessly...getting MASSIVE tax concessions to support it. Public money supports these people and their industry for 60+ years

That which is nurtured and fed...grows. Jamaica feeds tourism but not much else. For example the education shitstem is a disaster. Yet Jamaicans - like you - gets super excited once you see some tourism trivia. This is a mental disease. Smart countries don't behave this way.

Jamaicans like you fall into this tourism-worship and cannot think of growing any other industry - esp one based on brain power. As one here says - "dat tek too long" - More diseased Dummy Thinking

It is knowledge industries which drive 21st century progress unfortunately for Jamaica. But regardless most worship low level/low value adding industries like tourism.

This of course is the Dummy Thinking which rules in JA and is a big reason the country remains backward
