ALEXANDRIA, St Ann - The sportsmaster and coach of Aabuthnott Gallimore High School have both received one-year suspensions for their roles in the team's failure to honour a fixture in the rural area daCosta Cup competition.
The ruling by the Disciplinary Committee of ISSA in Kingston yesterday, which was confirmed by Competition Committee co-ordinator George Forbes, has also placed the school on a one-year probation.

Sportsmaster Patrick Nam and coach Orville Alexander will not be allowed to act in their respective capacities in the competition until next October, but the school will be allowed to complete their fixtures.
Aabuthnott Gallimore, it is learnt, failed to show for their Zone D match against Cedric Titus on September 23, and a request for a replay at a neutral venue by the Alexandria-based school was rejected, which led to ISSA's action.
The application for the game to be held at a neutral venue, it is said, came as a result of fears that there could be a repeat of a brawl involving both sets of spectators and players at the Cedric Titus field last season.
Threats, it is claimed, were made against Aabuthnott Gallimore's staff should they show up at Cedric Titus.
But this was denied by a member of the Cedric Titus coaching staff. He told the Observer he was surprised when the Aabuthnott Gallimore team did not show for the game.
The official said he was aware of last season's incident, but was not aware that any of their players had made threats and that they had "forgotten all about it and... were ready to play football".
Aabuthnott Gallimore's no-show last month resulted in Cedric Titus being rewarded a 2-0 win and three valuable points, which take their tally to nine - three behind zone leaders Ocho Rios.
Additionally, Aabuthnott Gallimore has been ordered to repay Cedric Titus all expenses incurred in hosting the September 23 game.
Solidarity is not a matter of well wishing, but is sharing the very same fate whether in victory or in death.
