    <SPAN style="TEXT-JUSTIFY: newspaper; TEXT-ALIGN: justify">a number of teams taking part in next </SPAN>
    <SPAN style="TEXT-JUSTIFY: newspaper; TEXT-ALIGN: justify">year's International Cricket Council's </SPAN>
    <SPAN style="TEXT-JUSTIFY: newspaper; TEXT-ALIGN: justify">(ICC) World Cup. </SPAN>
    <SPAN style="TEXT-JUSTIFY: newspaper; TEXT-ALIGN: justify">Oneil Cruickshank, LOC’s cricket operations manager, said they were assured by the Jarrett Park Management Committee (JPMC) up to two weeks ago that Jarrett Park </SPAN><SPAN id=Ar0660003 style="TEXT-JUSTIFY: newspaper; TEXT-ALIGN: justify">“will play (its) role in the Cricket World Cup programme as was discussed and agreed prior to now.” </SPAN>
    <SPAN style="TEXT-JUSTIFY: newspaper; TEXT-ALIGN: justify">Cruickshank was addressing the media at Tuesday’s post-tour press conference at the Trelawny Multipurpose Stadium in Daniel Town, Trelawny. </SPAN>
    <SPAN style="TEXT-JUSTIFY: newspaper; TEXT-ALIGN: justify">The use of western Jamaica's premier sports facility by the ICC has been in question for a number of months now as football interests have questioned whether alternate venues will be provided for Montego Bay’s two National Premier League clubs, Seba United and Wadadah. </SPAN>
    <SPAN style="TEXT-JUSTIFY: newspaper; TEXT-ALIGN: justify">Both clubs have used Jarrett Park as their home grounds for a number of years and would be hard pressed </SPAN><SPAN id=Ar0660004 style="TEXT-JUSTIFY: newspaper; TEXT-ALIGN: justify"></SPAN>
    <SPAN style="TEXT-JUSTIFY: newspaper; TEXT-ALIGN: justify">to find suitable grounds to play their home games if locked out of the park. </SPAN>
    <SPAN style="TEXT-JUSTIFY: newspaper; TEXT-ALIGN: justify">The situation had reached an impasse with Adrian Grant, the chairman of the JPMC, demanding that the government fast-track work on the Catherine Hall facility for the clubs’ use. </SPAN>
    <SPAN style="TEXT-JUSTIFY: newspaper; TEXT-ALIGN: justify">On Tuesday, Cruickshank said, “Jarrett Park will be a practice venue, as of the first of January </SPAN><SPAN id=Ar0660005 style="TEXT-JUSTIFY: newspaper; TEXT-ALIGN: justify">2007, the LOC takes control and whatever will be required at that time, will be done then.” </SPAN>
    <SPAN style="TEXT-JUSTIFY: newspaper; TEXT-ALIGN: justify">He declined to say whether alternate venues have been provided for the teams playing football there, saying only that the LOC has had ongoing discussions with the JPMC, “and at all points of those discussions we have been assured that Jarrett Park will be available to be used as a practice facil

    Jarrett Park is a piece of inconvienience which MoBay need to rid themselves of ASAP.

      You know I would be inclined to agree with you on this. When I win the Lotto in the US this Christmas, I dont want more than say US6 or 7 Million...buy a nice piece of land towards Irwin or Bogue or even after you pass Ironshore and put up a nice mini stadium.



      Thing is Jarrett Park is so convieniently located and no more than 15 minutes from anywhere, so maybe I would develop the site of the burnt out Guild Club, pout in two netball and basketball courts with lights and seats, a concrete or clay practic epicth and still have lots of parking left over.



      The building would be about three levels and would include a dormitory so teams can come in early or even over night and get some rest.



      My staff would also prepare athlete friendly pre and post game meals as part of the package.



      Ofcourse one floor would have the obligatory bar/games room and a balconey where members can watch the games in comfort like a stadium suite complete with waitresses.
