<P class=StoryText align=justify>WASHINGTON, USA (AFP) - US athletics has been hit by another failed doping test, this time for sprinter LaTasha Jenkins, the Chicago Tribune reported.<P class=StoryText align=justify>The 28-year-old world indoor 200-metre silver medallist, who is coached by Trevor Graham, tested positive for the anabolic steroid nandrolone at a meeting in late July in Europe, the paper said.<P class=StoryText align=justify>There was no immediate confirmation from the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF).<P class=StoryText align=justify>Graham is currently under investigation after several of his athletes tested positive for banned substances including Tim Montgomery and more recently Marion Jones and Justin Gatlin.<P class=StoryText align=justify>The Tribune quoted a lawyer for Graham as saying that the coach was unaware of any doping issue involving Jenkins.
"All that Trevor knows is he has not provided any of his athletes with any illegal substance and he has not seen any of his athletes with one," Joseph Zeszotarski said.<P class=StoryText align=justify>Jenkins retired from athletics in 2003 after winning the 2001 world indoor silver medal over 200 metres and the bronze at the world outdoors.<P class=StoryText align=justify>She then joined Graham's Sprint Capitol team in late 2004, but was sidelined with a knee injury for most of 2005.
This year she finished third in the 200 metres at the US championships and her time of 22.50secs in the heats of that competition made her the eighth fastest in the world.<P class=StoryText align=justify>The Chicago Tribune said that Jenkins had been competing in Europe, but had returned home to have treatment for a recurrence of the knee injury.
