  • Movements in DCup coaching

Former Cornwall College assistant and mannings coach Hopeton Gilchrist is the new coach at Munro College while our own Colour Andrew Edwards has thrown in the towel at Titchfield.

Gilchrist was top assistant at Cornwall for 13 seasons during which time CC won two DCup titles, one Olivier Shield and four Ben Francis KO Titles.

He wa salso in charge at Mannings for two seasons during which time they made it to the semifinals for the first time in 2005.

Edwards has stepped down after being the most successful coach at Titchfield as the school has refused to reimburse the Geography teacher for the extra work in coaching the school's football team.

He says he is now available to go to any school that will pay him.

In six seasons Edwards took Titchfield to one DCup final, two semis and one quarterfinals.
Solidarity is not a matter of well wishing, but is sharing the very same fate whether in victory or in death.

After all that money they generate at the gate during Titchfield run them can't give him a little money. We never appreciate our own . I hope he find another school who will appreciate his work .

Darn! Don't really know Gilchrist, but I feel that Colour would have been a good fit for Munro. Oh well.
