Tyrone Marshall-Senior squad

Tyrone Marshall is one of the many new and refreshing additions to the Reggae Boyz squad who was brought in for the 2002 World Cup Qualifying campaign. Marshall, who plays in MLS for the Los Angeles Galaxy, is a former St. Georges College, Manning Cup representative. He will forever be remembered for his spectacular goal against Caribbean arch-rivals Trinidad & Tobago in Jamaica's first game of the Final Round of qualifying for Korea/Japan at the National Stadium in Kingston.

The player had this to say when notified of his first call-up for Jamaica. 'It's a great opportunity for me. It's been a long-time goal of mine to the make the national team. Since I was here in the States, I didn't really have the chance to compete for a spot on the team that went to the 1998 World Cup. I'm getting my chance now and I'm looking forward to it. Hopefully I can go in, contribute, and get on the squad.'

Marshall made his international debut for Jamaica on May 17th, 2000, against Romania at Lockhart Stadium in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.

Tyrone is a player with a good turn of speed, excellent understanding of the game plus the ability to play a variety of positions. This makes 'Granny Marshall' as he is affectionately called, the perfect addition to the Reggae Boyz.
