Omar Daley
-Senior squad
Omar Daley burst into prominence after he was called to the national senior squad which toured Cayman Islands, and impressed while playing in an exhibition game for a Clarendon All Star XI vs. the national team.
Omar plays in central midfield and grew under the guidance of then coach de Oliviera. An aggressive midfielder, he is prone to yellow cards but that aggression is the stand out aspect of his game along with his good dribbling skills and strong midfield work ethic. He is a capable goal scorer and has decent long range shot shooting with either foot.
He began his football career at Glenmuir High School and was largely ignored by the bigger clubs in his home parish of Clarendon. He played with Central Strikers and Israel, a decent outfit from Monymusk in Clarendon. Omar went outside Clarendon in search of his footballing dreams and landed at Value P, a new club with lots of money that was aiming for the top. Unfortunately, Value P fell at the final hurdle. Needing only a draw to qualify for the National A-League they lost and the ambitious midfielder headed home to play for newly promoted Premier League outfit Hazard United (now relocated and changed name to Portmore United).
Omar is well respected by his teammates, many of whom look up to him for leadership. He is also a firm fan favourite and an integral piece of the midfield puzzle with Keith Kelly, Wollery Wolfe and Sean Frasier. Omar is definitely destined for bigger things.
