Damion Stewart-Senior squad Damion “Stew Peas” Stewart is an athletic and tenacious defender with poise, speed and an effective no-nonsense style of defending in the middle of the Reggae Boyz defense. Stew Peas combines speed and power to good effect as he marshals the Reggae Boyz defense with authority.

Many fans have been calling for this player to be featured more prominently in the plans of the Reggae Boyz technical staff, as it is felt that Stew Peas’ time has come! Damion is slowly establishing himself as an irreplaceable part of the defensive puzzle as his confidence and ability continue to grow with his increasing involvement in first-team play.

Called recently to replace veteran defender Ian Goodison, who was serving a one match suspension in a crucial World Cup Qualifier against El Salvador, Stewart not only rose to the challenge, but stamped his class on the game in a manner which must have left coach Lazaroni smiling from ear to ear at his central defensive options. This is the type of selection nightmare any coach would relish.
