NEW JAMAICA BOXING BOARD ELECTED THURSDAY MAY 26, 2011
A new Jamaica Boxing Board of Control was elected last Thursday, May 26 at the annual general meeting of the Jamaica Boxing Association held at the office of the Sports Development Foundation.
The new president is 41-year old businessman Stephen “Bomber” Jones, who takes over from William Tavares-Finson, who after two terms in office, did not seek re-election. Supporting him will be Alexander Johnson 1st vice president, Derek Robinson 2nd vice president, Leroy Brown General Secretary, Doreen Brown Assistant General Secretary, Alastair Macbeath Hon. Treasurer and members: Keith Brown, Wallace Campbell, Kingsley Goodison, Justin Robinson, Sonia Jackson and Luke Irons.
