Bolt had the baton before the youngster reached Galtlin and even if there was a clean exchange between the youngster and Gatlin then Bolt would have still erased the 2m deficit fairly quickly because he would have hit top speed before Gatlin. Note that Bolt was still going away from Gatlin after hey both hit top speed. I have no doubt that even with a clean exchange the lightning bolt would have caught the Gatlin gunshot.
              The same type of thinking that created a problem cannot be used to solve the problem.

                Yup, Bolt was at least 5m faster.

                As Bolt seh, he is a different animal in relays!

                      Look at those who left after Gatlin, he had 5m on them and they closed on him, 10 as Bolt said is a sure possibility.
