  • Nice to see.................

WI playing with passion, belief and determination but most importantly there seem to be real camaraderie and togetherness in this squad. It bodes well for the future, regardless of where we finish in this tournament.

We have become T20 "specialists" so to speak... if we have to concentrate for longer than half hour at the crease we crumble... that is sad for Test cricket; but fortunately for Windies, T20 is the future of the sport.

Only old dogs like me ah heng on to the five day game as the benchmark of good cricket

Yes I don't think we will ever be a top test team anymore, but it may not matter.

I grew up with the great WI test teams but there is so much about T20 that makes it much more suited for a professional sport. I don't know if cricket would have survived as a major sport in the Caribbean if T20 did not come along. It has its shortcomings but they are minor compared to its advantages.

The one T20 rule I really don't like is I don't think it should be shortened due to weather, it should be 20 overs period or no result.

I agree with you on that. T20 is too short to apply D/L with any kind or (relative) certainty.

I don't know where D/L had us in the last match with two overs to go but conceivably, had it begun to pour, we could have lost on D/L.
