    THIS kid is fast.

Eighteen-year-old sprint sensation Trayvon Bromell blew away the competition with a phenomenal 9.77 seconds in the 100 metres at the Big 12 outdoor track and field championships in Lubbock, Texas.

The time would have shattered the US national college record but for a tailwind of 4.2 metres per second. A legal wind is 2.6m/s or less.

Still, the time was good enough for the third-fastest in college history.

Travyon Bromell (9.77) ran 3rd-fastest time in collegiate history regardless of wind in #Big12TF 100m final. pic.twitter.com/4YV7Ql8Lv8

These Americans kill me! The man catches a Category 2 gust of wind and...sigh.

I can only imagine their frustration.

If Bolt get that illegal wind the time would be like 9.11 and the fire department would be called to cool down the track.
