Asafa and Simpson have their ban reduced.
    12:14 pm, Mon July 14, 2014

    By Kayon Raynor

Olympic and World Championship medalists Asafa Powell and Sherone Simpson have had their 18 month drug bans reduced to six months by the Court of Arbitration for Sport, CAS.

The ruling comes six days after the sprinters’ appeal took place in New York between July 7 and 8.

"The CAS decided to reduce their period of ineligibility to 6 months, which has been already served. The athletes were already free to compete since 18 June 2014 after the CAS had granted a stay of the decisions of the Jamaica Anti-doping Disciplinary Panel of 8 and 10 April 2014," A releae from CAS said Monday morning.

Hit theme where it hurts , the pocket.
THERE IS ONLY ONE ONANDI LOWE!

"It therefore is useless and pointless, unless it is for share malice and victimisation to arrest and charge a 92-year-old man for such a simple offence. There is nothing morally wrong with this man smoking a spliff; the only thing wrong is that it is still on the law books," said Chevannes.

        Not good enuff!!!

Why should taxpayers, who ultimately fund Jadco foot the bill?

Clearly some people in Jadco (now or in the past) must have had malicious agendas or this persecution would not have happened. They should be made to pay out of their own pocket and that would almost guarantee no recurrence of this sort of witch hunt! Otherwise, who is to say that this wont continue?

The nerve of these people, who are clearly hiding behind the wall of "organization" now.

how else or who else would pay?

it is unfortunate but i agree with the ruling. apointments have to be more carefully thought through i must confess that the composition of the panel was a surprise, a surprise that was vindicated by subsequent events...

Poor Dominique Blake. Poor Steve Mullings (who I too was quick to condemn). Lost careers.

...or no one willing to serve on JADCO and affiliated or associated organisations?

Like you I am terribly mad at 'the JADCO people' but let us move on and prevent any type recurrence.
