  • Great morning of track and field. This is the sport

at its finest. Great meet overall really.

I really hope the new IAAF president can win some confidence back. The sport would be so much better if you didn't have doubts about every surprising performance.

The USA vs Jamaica rivalry needs to be exploited more. This is the main draw. How about Jamaica hosting a World Championship? It can be done. Jamaica is a better venue to host it on this side of the world than the USA because of the passion for T&F in Jamaica.

Bahamas is probably ahead of us to get a World Champs.

Can't see us getting a Worlds without taking on something like a Grand Prix meet or World Relays first.

Bahamas just has a better/newer stadium than us. That's it! It would take some planning and of course maybe tearing down the relic at Authur Wint Drive.

Yeah, we need newer & better facilities to host a major international track event.

One fundamental job, get some good competition going for a good TV/cable/ communications contract. I have watched this all on spotty and poor connections. This sport should be the world's biggest sport, it is the most universal and fundamental of all competitions and it is just not marketed enough, this will bring new value to all, especially those that are the best.read Jamaica will start to realise real value of our product.

They clearly also have the initiative. That counts for a lot.

No walking races for a start....why the hell is that still included as a World Championship event? Leave it to the overweight power walkers!

Stoni my brethren, you keep saying that, how do you know the JAAA isn't getting paid for that value now? That's one of my beef,if you listen to Franno interview he says its run in secrecy with no accountability wich affects its stakeholders negatively and the positive results we see harnessing Gold has nothing to do with the JAAA governance but other stakeholders I.e coaches working around and without them.

Yuh see mi,how much is it worth, the value,is it market value, how its spent, athletes, coaches, etc?
