    That Trelawny Elephant

    So, our good friend, Karl Samuda (yes, he of Karl Samuda Avenue fame ) has announced that Independence Park Ltd., managers of the National Stadium, will be taking over the operations of the Trelawny Multi-Purpose stadium. ( Multi-purpose? Ah wonder if dem did mean uni-purpose?)

    Anyway, who better to take over the operations of this stadium than the people who have years of experience running another stadium where nothing takes place!

    Bravo, Samuda!

    There's a white elephant at green field? Someone should call one of the deep-pocket men (like Butch; Lee-Chin or even Bicknell) and turn this baby around. There's still time yet to capitalise on the Stadium. It should be looked at with a view to hosting off-season European giants who need a warm-weather training base. That's just one idea, I'm sure the forumites could easily come up with another 9.

        Why can't we not also bring them from the Far East and the South...dem nuh ave winta an off-season tuh? ...or, dem nuh ave nuh giants? ...an wah bout Africa?
