  • Suspensions For Repeated Diving And Faking Injury?

    The National Hockey League has approved some rule changes for the upcoming season.

    Among them is aan automatic minimum fine and suspension of at least one game for players who recieve three penalties FOR DIVING during a season.

    After the second diving penalty, the player will recieve a letter of warning from the league.

    There were no provisions for repeat offenders for diving. The only punishment for diving was two minutes in the penalty box.

    So, can FIFA, or anyone else,devise some kind of system for players who accumulate yellow cards in a season for repeatedly diving and/or faking injury?

    First offense for diving/faking injury- COUNTS THE SAME AS ANY YELLOW CARD.

    Second Offense for diving/faking injury-AUTOMATIC ONE GAME SUSPENSION;

    Additional one-game suspension for accumulating two yellow cards in a season; or if the player recieved a red card after getting two yellow cards in a game.

    Third Offense for diving/faking injury:

    AUTOMATIC TWO GAME SUSPENSION Additional one-gamesuspension for accumulating two yellow cards, or if the player recieved a red card after getting two yellow cards in a game.
