  • Poor Luton Shelton

    http://youtube.com/watch?v=-tSChIFONes

That is a video a Helsinborg fan made for him in August last year, that's long after he left. It's obvious that they still have high ratings for him. He should try and head back there cause the bench riding thing cant work. Simoes no inna the foolishness either. He says that no foreign player can just walk in the national side. It look sticky pon Shelton career. He should hand in a transfer request ASAP. If it even mean fi come back a Harbour View.

As I'm typing this I'm just finding out that Luton will be loaned out to a club named Ferencvaros from Hungary. Apparently, Sheffield United have bought that club and are planning to send Shelton and some of it's other Caribbean players(the ones in Belgium) out there on loan. Ah well, better than riding the pine.

That's the report on Sheffield taking over the Hungarian Club.

Jason Morrison and Demar Stewart going there also.

They participate in the Hungarian second-tier league by the way as they were relegated.

No doubt if given the ball in good goalscoring positions he scores! ...but, how does he make the team better when playing against competition that needs total TEAM-play...not just scoring?

The problem is as the player gets to higher and higher level quality of play his team cannot afford to be playing a 10 man TEAM game with the 11th man hanging around in or around the opponents penalty-area awaiting opportunities at goal. At this higher level the 10 men cannot often get the ball to the 'lazy-about 1' or 'non-helping TEAM 1' to retain and advance ball to area where attempts at goal arise. ...indeed, it becomes even worse if the 'lazy-about 1' or 'non-helping TEAM 1' actually adds to his non-helping ways and often adds *giving (losing) of the ball to the opponents.

        OFTEN during games -
*mis-controls - ball goes to opponents
*puts ball into touch when with appropriate skills and smart thinking it could instead be retained by teammate/TEAM - ball goes to opponents
*hangs on to ball and loses same - ball goes to opponent
*make poor passes - ball goes to opponent
*makes poor choices allowing opponent to harrass teammate or lose ball to teammate - ball goes to opponent...etc., etc...

So not helping to 'fetch and carry' and 'giving ball to opponents' will get you out of on-the-field squad!

It is instructive that the video shows Shelton scoring goals (excellent goals)...but, nary a build up where he passes the ball! ...not once! ...not a 'one-two'...not a 'wall pass'...not any move where he brings/involves...bringing TEAM or TEAMmate into play!

Luton want is some Brasilian coaching. Boss we take care of our own. Brasilians don't watch bench in europe. If that was the case Ronaldo and robinho would not play for Brasil.

Trust me the prof. is going to let you see a better Shelton. Dem Bench Tappa, how many Brasilian came here and Tappa played? Nuh watch nuh face.

So stickers have no responsibility for keeping the ball for & with the TEAM...and, thus ensuring they get more chances at goal?

                OK...? ...a suh wi play???

Karl look at the last INT'L
games with Luton. How dangerous was he, when facing the goal?
Now look at the video. We want some fluid attacks in numbers with Luton
                  running towards the goal.

                  Bless.

What Luton showed in our last international games were his obvious faults and the potential...under development of self. As it is said by someone somewhere, potential means you have not done it!

btw -This idea that he fluid in attacks means he 'runs very fast'...good trait...and, finishes...but, the other side of the coin is as he moves up against higher and higher quality teams without his participation in TEAM...keeping ball...he will...and, his team shall...see less and less of the ball. A recipe for losses!

As number of goals scored has relations with numbe of opportunities at goal - What does a TEAM need a only can score player for when playing at the TOP OF THE WORLD...when because of that player's actions the TEAM...and, the player receives few or no chances at scoring?
