Bolton have received a double boost with two of their longest-serving players - Jussi Jaaskelainen and Ricardo Gardner - signing new contracts.
Jaaskelainen and Gardner: New deals
Goalkeeper Jaaskelainen and full-back Gardner have put pen to paper on four and three-year deals respectively.
Jaaskelainen has emerged as one of the top shot-stoppers in the Premier League while Bolton have shown loyalty to Gardner despite his injury problems.
Jaaskelainen, 33, is now expected to see out his career at the Reebok Stadium in what has become a home from home for the Finland international.
He will start the next season in his tenth year for the club after making his debut against Crystal Palace in the second tier in August 1998.
Jaaskelainen has gone on to make the number one spot his own but there were fears he would leave this summer as he was out of contract.
However with Bolton managing to avert relegation he has decided to stay on and continue to work with manager Gary Megson.
Gardner also made his debut in 1998 and the 29-year-old Jamaican has shown his adaptability by playing in midfield as well as defence.
Jamaica captain Gardner was also out of contract this summer but like Jaaskelainen became energised by the way Bolton battled to beat the drop.
He joined the club two years after after impressing in the 1996 World Cup finals in France.
However, his career has been interrupted by a number of injuries, including a rib problem last season.
Gardner emphasised how much he had regained his fitness by leading Jamaica in their recent World Cup qualifiers.
