Mosiah, okay let be clearer re the school. Yes, Barnes went to "a very traditional high school in England." However, it was not your average traditional high school. And forgive me if I hinted that he played football at that school; that was not what I intened to convey. I will paraphrase a bit below.

Colonel Barnes located a "permanent dwelling house in the affluent north London district of Hampstead," after he had succeeded in enrolling his son in one of the more prestigious inner-city schools of the time."

It was an "old fashioned Grammar School," close to the Stowe Boys Club where Johnny Barnes would be able to work on his game some evenings. At school he tried Rugby and also swam for the school.

No, I did not misunderstand, and that's why I said I was clarifying, not correcting.

Yes myYout good talk that. However, believe that what helped to elevate Johnny Barnes was the disciplined approach he picked up in his formative years at Up-park Camp. That, plus the talent and a supportive parental group helped to make football fans loved watching Barnes.

You're right, Barnes was not there with LittleJohn. I believe though that he likelysaw old some old Georgians like Meghoo, Cyril Cornwall, Musclehead and Hero Mitchell.
