sure other things are involved, but the single most important thing you can do to climb the rankings is beat teams ranked above you. Having said that, the FIFA ranking is a sham at best. Can someone tell me what Barbados has done over the past 12 months to have jumped above Jamaica in the rankings? Suriname?
