MONTEGO BAY, St James - Jamaica's first-string goalkeeper Donovan Ricketts is to consult an orthopaedic surgeon this week to find out the state of an injured finger on his left hand.
Ricketts, who represents local club Village United, left Sunday night's Digicel Premier League (DPL) game against Rivoli at Jarrett Park after just 31 minutes and was rushed by ambulance to the Cornwall Regional Hospital.

Ricketts injured his finger while blocking a shot and immediately signalled to the bench for attention and was replaced by Elvis Hart.
The goalkeeper told the Observer after returning from the hospital that an x-ray and consultation by medical doctors showed that he had been playing with the injury for some time and the blow on Sunday had just aggravated it.
He said he had not felt the injury before and will now await further medical diagnosis to see how long he will be out of action.
Ricketts is yet to complete a DPL game for Village at Jarrett Park as he lasted only 45 minutes against defending champion Portmore United in his debut after a blow to his face caused double vision.
He, however, played the full 90 minutes in a rain-affected 0-1 loss to Tivoli Gardens at the Edward Seaga Complex in Kingston.
Ricketts, who is playing in the local Premier League for the first time in nearly five years after playing in England for Bradford City kept two 'clean sheets' for the Reggae Boyz in their 1-0 wins over Mexico and Honduras in their CONCACAF World Cup semi-final series last week.
Solidarity is not a matter of well wishing, but is sharing the very same fate whether in victory or in death.
