JFF's annual general meeting set for Sunday

    Friday, February 27, 2009

The annual General Meeting for the Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) will take place at GC Foster College on Sunday. Formal proceedings will begin at 10:00 am following registration at 9:00.

This meeting will bring together football leaders from all 14 parishes to discuss the growth and progress of the sport island-wide and in individual parishes over the past year while making plans for the remainder of the year into 2010.

Besides the submission of the Auditors Report and the General Secretary's Report, a lot of focus should be on the address by president Captain Horace Burrell who is expected to address matters concerning the direction of the JFF; programmes for improvement of the Parish Associations; the Women's Football Programme; the Coaching School; the National Academy; the Under-20's Egyptian journey; the Olympic qualifiers and the Reggae Boyz.

Members of the Board of Directors and all affiliates of the JFF will be in attendance, with each parish association allowed to send five delegates, with the exception of Kingston and St Andrew Football Association (KSAFA), which will be sending 10 delegates.

Additionally, each association is also allowed two individuals, special groups or organisations to be granted observer status by the JFF.

Affiliates of the JFF are entitled to two representatives each. The names of all delegates slated to attend the meeting were submitted on February 13 to general secretary Horace Reid.

Parish associations and JFF affiliate groups were also given the deadline of February 13 to submit any proposals and questions that they wish to be raised during the meeting to the general secretary.
"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has."
