  • Jason Morrison for Sheffield United

Sheffield United are making a summer swoop for Jamaican international Defensive/Midfielder Jason Morrison from Hungarian outfit Ferencvaros.

Morrison, 25 came to Bramall Lane on a months trial during our 2006/07 Premier League season from home town club Portmore United along with Demar Stewart and Rafe Wolfe with Morrison making a huge impact - however the Blades had difficulty obtaining a work permit for the seven capped Jamaican.

Instead he signed for unknown Belgium club White Star Woluwe, a feeder club of Sheffield United before, in 2008 joining another feeder club in the form of Ferencvaros whom have just been crowed champions of the Hungarian Second Division.

It is unknown as to how much it would cost to sign Morrison but as long as a work permit can be obtained United wouldn't have a problem bringing him to Bramall Lane.

Its understood though that Kevin Blackwell sees him as an important role in next seasons Championship campaign should the Blades fail to reach the Premiership via the Play-offs.
