Jamaican international Khari Stephenson netted a 61st-minute strike to give his team Aalesund a 1-0 win over Stabaek in the Nowegian football league on Monday.
The result lifted Aalesund to seventh place in the 16-team league with 15 points from four wins and three draws. They trail leader Rosenborg by eight points.
The goal was made in Jamaica, as Stephenson's compatriot Demar Phillips made the left-sided cross which was headed back into the path of Stephenson by a teammate.
The burly central midfielder, who joined the club last August, still had work to do and he did it with aplomb to boot home left footed, well out of the reach of the goalkeeper from inside the penalty area.
Stephenson has been invited by Jamaica's head coach John Barnes for the Reggae Boyz's friendly international against regional neighbours Panama inside the National Stadium on Sunday, June 7.
