Is it a matter of these companies pulling sponsorship or just being outbid by other companies? AIG is a special case since dem did just flat broke!

Its a little bit of both. Most sponsors want a successful marketable brand that will not only push their product locally/nationally but also in certain global markets. In the case of AIG that scenario was different but like I stated earlier they werent the only major insurance giant that went broke. There are other companies worldwide that were affected financially due to the current economic downturn.
