The Vice Chairman of the Premier League Clubs Association (PLCA ), Carvel Stewart , the Directors and staff of the PLCA express condolence to the family, the President of the Tivoli Gardens Football Club, friends and associates of Oraine Simpson who passed under tragic circumstances on Tuesday ,October 13, 2009.
“Oraine, up to the time of his death was a very active, hard working, loyal, devoted member of the Tivoli Gardens Football Club”.
“Though he himself is no longer with us physically his work and life will remain as examples for us,” said Mr. Stewart
“A very sad and regrettable situation”. “This truly reinforces the importance of the League in these communities”.
“Oraine made sacrifice at a time when so many among us have forgotten the meaning of, caring, sharing and giving of oneself”.
“He ensured that all around him were reminded of those qualities that help to build or local football.”
“What moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch”.
