Real Madrid striker Antonio Cassano and midfielder Mahamadou Diarra were dropped for last night's shock to Recreativo after being caught on camera criticising coach Fabio Capello.
The Bari-born ace, who had already been frozen out of the first team following a bitter row with the tactician in October, was left out of the Espanyol game at the weekend ? a decision which annoyed the striker.
Cassano was then caught by a Canal Plus cameraman in a conversation with teammate Mahamadou Diarra, also dropped in the last Liga match, where they discussed their exclusion.
"I don't play as much as Emerson. Me and you are always out," said the former Lyon man to Cassano and Ronaldo, who didn't make any comment.
"Capello only considers the same players, there is only Ruud Van Nistelrooy or there is Raul," replied Cassano.
"If Raul doesn't play then it's David Beckham. Or Ronaldo. After that Robinho or Jose Antonio Reyes," added the ex-Roma man.
