Nigeria have a good chance of advancing to the next round .
Current Group B Table :
Argentina 6 points +4 Difference
South Korea 3 pts - 1 Diff
Greece 3 pts -1 Diff
Nigeria 0 pts -2 Diff
providing Nigeria wins by even a Goal Margin and Greece Lose
by a Goal Margin , we have ...
Argentina 9 points + 5 Difference
Nigeria 3 pts -1 Diff
S Korea 3 pts -2 Diff
Greece 3pts -2 Diff
So the nigerians are not out .Last edited by wbvs; June 17, 2010, 06:31 PM.

They have the players to take the World Cup...unfortunately they lack TEAM! I am not expecting them to go far!

A Nigerian brethren say the performance of their team is a reflection of the disorganization in their country. No discipline & no structure.

Before the world cup I did not think the African teams were any good. It is likely Ghana will be the only team that advances to the next round, and no team from Africa will sniff the world cup.

Nigeria = despicable, mek a lowly Greece team score against them. Dis fi them players
Here I am hoping that one of the countries from the African continent would make a serious run in the WC & they're all playing the fools. Mi disappointed bad, bad!!

Interesting stats on Greece at the 79 minute mark. Played first 33min against full Nigeria squad - 6 shots, 0 goal.
Played next 46 minutes against Nigeria's 10 - 18 shots, 2 goals.

After improving up until the end of the 90s they seem to have levelled off somewhat. One or two will get to the next round, possibly one to the round of 8 but thats about it.
I wonder what the missing ingredient is for them to produce a real contender for the title.
TEAM!

So you can't coach that at the national level, or it too late at that stage?
