  • Bobby McMahon on FSC

must have been smoking something... he gave Iniesta a 5 for his performance and said he was surprised he wasn't subbed... he cited a 59% pass completion figure to support his opinion...

Iniesta was probably the best player out there today.

I am surprised you could even understand what Bobby was saying. I have a hard time understanding the guy.

No. But who scored the ONE (1) goal? the most important stat of all... give me a 59% pass completion and the winning WC goal, I'll take it anytime.

Bobby might take that too. That doesn't have anything to do with his statement though.

Bobby said he was surprised Iniesta was not subbed...ergo, were he Del Bosque Iniesta would have been off the pitch.

For me, Iniesta, in spite of a poor passing game, still looked threatening when he was carrying the ball and had the Dutch defence scrambling.

Sounds like a reasonable thought. He said his passing was poor, especially by his high standards and he knows the dangerous ballers waiting on the bench who can provide a similar threat.

there some people you don't sub even when they are having an off day. Iniesta is one, Maestro is the other.

Maestro? Iniesta continues running in the second half. Stop putting MLS reject in Iniesta class.

Iniesta and Xavi are the brains behind the team.

The vision of these two guys is just awesome!

Take Alexis Lalas for example. How may call and prediction has he gotten correct...? Though I like the guy...

Who do you prefer PR.................... McMahon or Lalas? (heheheheheee)
The only time TRUTH will hurt you...is if you ignore it long enough

                          > I agree! Wonder what the passing completion was for the rest of the players on the pitch.....I suspect not much better. You can't just take one player in isolation.
