Warriors go down in Marvin Lee friendly
Russell Latapy has a lot to think about. His Soca Warriors were outplayed by Caribbean rivals Jamaica, who walked off deserved 3-1 winners in their friendly international football match last night at the Marvin Lee Stadium.
Jamaica led 2-1 at half time, getting goals from USA-based winger Dane Richards (eighth) and Rudolph Austin (31st, penalty) while striker Devon Jorsling had the Warriors level at 1-1 at one point with a close-up goal in the 27th minute. Kavin Bryan then powered in a header from the centre of the penalty area in the 55th minute to extend the Jamaican lead.
The visitors were sent down a man after Austin was sent off 10 minutes from the end. But held on comfortably.
