Vogts to take over as Nigeria coach
Former Germany coach Berti Vogts is to take charge of Nigeria's national team, the Nigeria Football Association (NFA) said on Monday.
"Vogts has agreed to coach the Nigerian national team. He was chosen as the most suitable man to handle the Super Eagles," NFA official Tunde Aderibigbe told Reuters.
Vogts, who led Germany to victory at Euro 96 and also had spells in charge of Kuwait and Scotland, will take over on March 1 on a contract running until 2010, the German Bild newspaper reported.
