Can Marlon Enter Other Countries Due To His Conviction?

I was wondering if Marlon King would be allowed to enter other countries because of his conviction.

At the US Open golf championships, a British folk hero from the European PGA Tour named Robert Rock was born.

Rock won the European Tour event in Italy two weeks before the US Open, which also won him an exemption to play in the US Open in Washington DC.

However, because Rock had some scrapes with the law as a teenager, he could not immediately get a visa to enter the USA He hired a lawyer to help him get his visa, at a cost of about USD $16,000, and he got his visa on Tuesday, before the US Open started on Thursday.

The only space on a flight to the USA was to JFK Airport in New York. He arrived about 10:30 pm Wednesday evening. He hired a cab to drive him to Washington, at a cost of about $1,000. He arrived at the course at 3:30 am Thursday morning. Before that, the USGA tweeted that Rock had not yet checked in, and an alternate was set to take Rock's place.

So, without any practice rounds, Rock teed off Thursday morning and had a good round, eventually made the cut, and won about $76,000.

It is stale news,. It was published in September 2010. I do not know where Mosiah got it from to post it just now.

Let's hope that when the HEX starts. The US will stamp King's visa.

                Chances are not good:

Newcastle's Joey Barton denied US visa

Those are friendly matches, but when it comes to a WC qualifier we need to be proactive with FIFA.

The issue is can Marlon King get a visa to enter the USA and other countries because of his criminal conviction.

I can also tell you a story about a pro hockey player, born in the USA, who played for the team I despise. In 1994, when he was 19 years old, he was convicted of having sex with a 15 year old girl at a party. He spent three years in prison in Massachusetts.

As he worked his way up the pro ranks, even though he was an established member of a professional team, he could not get a visa to enter Canada. As a result, when the team had a trip to Canada, he had to stay home.

And yes, the USA allows professional athletes to ply their trade abroad, provided that the host country gives them permission to work there.

The US is one country and if they play tricks with us we have the right to play it with them , we have Mex, C.rica , hon etc where King will be needed.

With all these NFL & NBA players that have committed crimes, playing preseason and promotional and pro ball in europe and canada getting immigration blys , why cant Jamaica.
THERE IS ONLY ONE ONANDI LOWE!

"Good things come out of the garrisons" after his daughter won the 100m Gold For Jamaica.

"It therefore is useless and pointless, unless it is for share malice and victimisation to arrest and charge a 92-year-old man for such a simple offence. There is nothing morally wrong with this man smoking a spliff; the only thing wrong is that it is still on the law books," said Chevannes.

And it wasn't that long ago that you were insinuating that English players with criminal records would get preferential treatment and wouldn't be denied visas to the U.S. But the Barton case shows you are wrong.

King doesn't just have one or two arrests on his criminal record - he has many. He is also a registered sex offender currently and will be one for several more years to come.

If King is denied entry to the U.S. it really shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone.
