  • Daniel Gordon Finally Starts For Frankfurt

Daniel Gordon finally started for FSV Frankfurt, but FSV lost 0-4 (0-2 half) at Union Berlin. He played all 90 minutes.

Union's first goal was an own goal.

Daniel started at center midfield in a 4-4-2 formation. At halftime, he moved to right defender, then center defender as FSV switched to 3-4-3.

In my opinion, Daniel played better as a defender than as a midfielder. He made some nice stops, and some good breakout passes. I would rate his performance 5.5 as a midfielder, 6.5 at right defender, and 6.0 as central defender.

I say Daniel played well enough to earn another start. Gledson, who is one of those one-name Brazilians whom Daniel replaced, was on the third game of a three-game suspension. Since then, Gledson suffered an injury in training and will be out through the winter break.

FSV has one game remaining next weekend before the winter break which runs until the first weekend in February.
