Real hoping to lure Arsenal's Wenger to Bernabeu as Mourinho replacement

Real Madrid have made Arsene Wenger their top target to replace Jose Mourinho at the Santiago Bernabeu this summer.
The Frenchman has turned down moves to Madrid in favour of staying in north London in the past, but club president Florentino Perez believes he can persuade Wenger to move to La Liga this time around.
Mourinho, who has previously managed Porto, Chelsea and Inter Milan, has endured a dismal season. Despite leading Real to the league title last season, Los Blancos are 15 points behind leaders Barcelona and seven behind cross-city rivals Atletico Madrid.

Target man: Real Madrid are hoping to lure Arsene Wenger to Real Madrid

Wenger has also fallen below his own high standards, with Arsenal sitting in sixth in the Premier League.
But Perez, who is seeking re-election as president of the Spanish giants this summer, is hoping Wenger will take him up on a renewed approach in the summer, according to the Sunday People.
Having been at Arsenal for nearly 17 years, Perez believes the Gunners may be willing to part ways with the long-serving Wenger.
Arsenal’s only remaining hopes of bringing an eight-year trophy drought to an end is winning the FA Cup or the Champions League, and tensions have grown among some fans with Wenger battling to finish in the top four.

Hopeful: Real president Florentino Perez is up for re-election this summer

Should Wenger decide to leave the Emirates for the Bernabeu, Real are likely to match his £7million annual salary.
Ligue 1 hopefuls Paris Saint-Germain are also monitoring Wenger, with the French side looking at the Arsenal boss as a potential replacement for Carlo Ancelotti.

Wenger recently had to rubbish reports of a potential move to Schalke, and stated he would see out the remaining 18 months of his contract with Arsenal.

In the event of Wenger’s departure, Borussia Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp would be the obvious choice to follow in his footsteps.
The German manager led Dortmund to the Bundesliga title last season, and guided his side to qualify top of a Champions League group which consisted of Real, Manchester City and Ajax.

Wegner can't manage RM. Those big clubs expects trophies and won't put up with his mumbo jumbo about building sides, saving money and playing toddlers.
Hey .. look at the bright side .... at least you're not a Liverpool fan! - Lazie 2/24/10 Paul Marin -19 is one thing, 20 is a whole other matter. It gets even worse if they win the UCL. *groan*. 05/18/2011.MU fans naah cough, but all a unuh a vomit?-Lazie 1/11/2015

                    Cheap psyche!

...no need for Wenger to leave. He is in a position of building with/around his young players another...the next GUNNERS purple patch! He has the players. They have started to gel. He just needs to let 2 to 4 go and bring in quality to complement what he already has.

...we all can see the next wave coming! ...and so does Mr. GUNNERS!

                    What?
The Champions League Cup for GUNNERS trophy case before he retires!
"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has."

Mek Jangle gwaan chat, AW is the most coveted manager other than Pep Guardiola, if Wenger leave Arsenal tomorrow there would be a scramble for his signature. AW can manage any club in the world. Wenger had to do what was needed at Arsenal to keep the club mixing it with the big boys and building the new stadium and training base. Madrid have everything in place and all the players available so all he would do is just win trophies. I don't think Wenger enjoy working like that anyway so Madrid can keep them job. He is determined to make Arsenal great again.
