Whenever I hear arguments like this I have to chuckle. Loyalty in football is as fleeting a notion as chastity in a whorehouse. Footballers are mercenaries, plain and simple. We glorify the very few who can be good enough to stay with one club over their entire careers without realizing that clubs treat the vast majority of players like commodities...yet we get vex when the players turn tables turn on the clubs. KMT.

Every player has a contract signed with the understanding that they will presumably stay out the term. Every one of them - Messi etc. - have the right to go where they want after the term is up...so if they are "wallowing", that's by their own choice.
