  • Manchester City vs. Bayern Munich

    City?
Not as good as they thought?

Philip Lahm still the best defender wide on the left! ...still the best defender wide on the right! ...as far as I am concerned.

...and he has been turning in a master-class in the center. Bad! Bad! ...footballer!

Joe Hart played a real stinker; two of those goals should have been fairly routine saves.

England should be very worried going into these last couple of WC qualifiers.

He is the most overrated (by the British press) keeper in football. Every year, he makes a bunch of crappy schoolboy errors.

His form has been going down a little over the last two seasons but he is still a world class keeper
Hey .. look at the bright side .... at least you're not a Liverpool fan! - Lazie 2/24/10 Paul Marin -19 is one thing, 20 is a whole other matter. It gets even worse if they win the UCL. *groan*. 05/18/2011.MU fans naah cough, but all a unuh a vomit?-Lazie 1/11/2015

I think England might have to recall David James for next week's qualifiers, just like they did for the last World Cup!

Keepers just lacking now a days. he is below world class standards for keepers.

He makes far more errors than an elite keeper does, struggles on crosses and his distribution is extremely poor.

The top two teams of the period of Beck,Veron,Ruud,Henry,Vieira would have probably won the last five EPL titles.
                City never fooled me.

City took one hell of a beating, Bayern had them chasing shadows all night.
This Bayern team is playing football like Barca played under Guardiola. They are more attractive to watch this season.

If "carrying on one's back" is equivalent to intimidating referees, the FA, other managers, players, coaches and owners and generally being a big assholic bully, then yes, Slurgie certainly had a broad back.

well Dunny, we more than anyone know that if playing attractive does not result in silverware, that is what will be remebered.

Said it from last season Thomas Muller, yup! the goal-scorer supreme, is also a great defender (defensive player)!
