and as i said then we cannot be all things to all people. we punch above our weight to begin with on WORLD sports. some larger countries cannot claim to be a sports power in ANYTHING!!

KINGSTON, Jamaica —Jamaica was beaten 5-0 by Canada in their CONCACAF Under-17 Championships semi-final at Catherine Hall Montego Bay Thursday evening.
The Canadians led 3-0 at half time through Marie Metivier in the fourth minute; Emily Borgmann made it 2-0 in the in the 27th and captain Jessie Flemming in the 30th.

They were again at it early in the second half when Sarah Kinzner scored in the 48th minute while Marie Leveseur scored the fifth in the 70th minute.
In the first semi final of the double header Mexico pulled off the shock of the tournament, defeating United States 4-2 on penalties after a 1-1 tie at regulation time.
Canada will now meet Mexico in the final scheduled for Saturday, November 9 while Jamaica play for third spot against the US.
