The training squad is still a balanced one, with Teafore Bennett, Ricardo Fuller, Damion Stewart, Shavar Thomas, who has finally been recalled, Shane Crawford, Jermaine Johnson, Omar Daley, and Khari Stephenson adding to the international flavour that Ricketts brings.

He added: "I believe he has earned an opportunity to show us that he's able to get up to the international level and get goals for the national team."<P class=StoryText align=justify>There is also a recall for former national youth captain Shavar Thomas, who has not played for Jamaica in the last three years, despite starting in central defence during the qualification for the 2002 World Cup.<P class=StoryText align=justify>Brown has high expectations for Thomas, who has also represented Jamaica at the Under-17, Under-20 and Under-23 levels.
