Schaefer has his work cut out for him. Most of our European players will not be available for this competition. Winning this Cup is a must for Jamaica and we will have to do it with mainly a local core. It cannot be business as usual like before. over the last three years or so, it's been proven that our Jamaican players struggle to beat even the lowest ranking Caribbean countries. Between now and November, our local players need to be encamp at least once a month and be playing regular practice matches.

The new Caribbean Cup is on FIFA match days, so the overseas based players are available. The last Caribbean Cup we took a team with a bunch of out of season MLS and European players that Burrell did not prepare for the tournament. He disrepected the competition and then acted shock when our results reflected his input. -
